Week 1 – Medieval Town Project:
I modeled modular building kit pieces directly in Unreal Engine using UE5 Modeling Tools. I then used MegaAssemblies and Blueprints to assemble a medieval town level, learning how to efficiently build large environments using reusable components.
- Tools Used: UE5 Modeling Tools, MegaAssemblies, Blueprints
Credits: Megascans were used for props, foliage, materials, and decals.
Week 2 – Exterior Lighting Project:
This week focused on lighting and composition. I used the Atmospheric Sun and Sky system in UE5 to light the City of Brass level and explored how to achieve different moods for both morning and night scenes.
- Tools Used: UE5 Lighting Tools, Atmospheric Sun and Sky
Credits: Level used is Stylized Egypt by Aleksandr Ivanov.
Week 3 – Procedural Landscape Project:
I created a landscape using UE5’s procedural tools, experimenting with the Water System and Foliage Tool. I also created a layered landscape material and placed natural elements throughout the scene.
-Tools Used: UE5 Procedural Landscape Tools, Water System, Foliage Tool, Material Editor
Credits: Megascans were used for props, foliage, materials, and decals.
Week 4 – Niagara Fire Particles Project:
I learned the basics of Niagara and used it to create a custom fire particle system from scratch in UE5. This included emitters for smoke, fire, and embers.
- Tools Used: UE5 Niagara System
Credits: Megascans were used for props, foliage, materials, and decals.
